- What aspect of the beauty or wellness industry do you serve? Why did you choose this career? What key services do you offer? Location?
I create and sell body care products and am also working as a spa concierge in Atlanta, GA. I love skin and have always had a passion for it. I also love being able to make people happy and the feeling that comes with being able to positively affect another person. Hospitality and skin care were my two choices of career when I was younger. I first started with hospitality and now I am bringing that over into skin care.
- Tell us about yourself. Who are you as a person? Hobbies, passions?
I am originally from Chicago, IL and currently living in Atlanta, GA. I love dining out at new restaurants and trying new foods. That is how I love to spend my time when I am not curled up on the couch with a cup of tea and a face mask. I am a sucker for a documentary and I will watch any kind, all day long, lol it’s so weird.
- Favorite services and/or product to offer?
I love using my “Brew Me New Body Polish” which is a coffee body polish. It is so effective for exfoliating the body, hydrating, helping with circulation, and just giving an overall healthy and awakened look and feel. It is a great all around product for both men and women. As a bonus, the coffee with not only awaken the skin but the coffee aroma will also give you a pick me up when you start the day.
- Most popular service provided and/or product purchased?
We offer a coconut moisturizer “Coco’s Snow” and a coconut body polish “Ice Me Body Polish” which happen to be our most popular items.
- If you weren’t doing this career, what do you think you would be doing?
If I wasn’t into the beauty industry I would definitely still be continuing my old career in food and beverage.
- Being healthy is beautiful. So, what is your favorite selfcare indulgence? Why? Any recommendations/tips to others?
Health is so very important and the older I get the more I realize. I make a point to take vitamin c every morning in addition to my multi vitamins. Working with the public, you come in contact with so many people and that has been a ritual of mine forever. I also have to have a cup of tea that is immune boosting every morning, whether its hibiscus, Echinacea, ginger, lemon, or any other, and I love to mix them. It makes so much difference in how you feel throughout the day.
- Favorite place to go in ATL or the city you live in?
I love going to Thumbs up since I have been in Atlanta. As you can see I stay eating something. However, my favorite place to be is the lake front in Chicago. The biggest thing, besides family, that I miss from my hometown is going to the lake front whenever I want.
- Current projects in the works? Tell us anything we need to know about now or what to look out for in the near future, this year.
I currently have been spending a lot of time revamping my online body care business site Luv Rubee at luvrubee.com. During our current global situation I have had more free time than I have had in awhile, so I am using it to update my business and play around with creating more products.
