What Forms of Protection Are you Using? If Any…

What forms of protection are you using? Keeping it PG, I’m speaking of SPF protection that is.  UV rays are the number one cause of premature aging and of course skin cancer. UVA = aging, UVB = burning and UVC = radiation. Broad spectrum sunscreens protect you from all UV rays. So with so many sunscreens out there, you have got to be using something, it is better than nothing, especially during these hot summer months where these rays are at there strongest. All skin types and ethnicities require and need sunscreen. No one is immune based on being a darker skin tone. With that said, I have a few of my faves that I use and would like to recommend.

Eminence Sun Defense

Eminence Organic Sun Defense Mineral Powder. It comes compact for easy transporting in your purse. I wear Calendula Spice for the Summer. It is water resistant, defends from the UV rays and evens out my skin tone. Perfect and easy for day wear for the girl that is on-the-go. Photo courtesy of http://www.eminenceorganics.com.

Eminence Tropical Vanilla Body Sunscreen SPF 32

I am in love with this sunscreen for use all over the body that is light, yet still creamy and although it says vanilla it is not an overpowering scent, more earthy. A very natural albeit luxurious alternative to drugstore brands for the bossbabe that is serious about her skin. Photo courtesy of http://www.dermstore.com.

Murad SPF 30

This is my go to matter-of-fact sunscreen I apply to my arms, neck and chest for longer trips in the car. It goes on thick but spreads well, has a scent that is not too much of a sunscreen smell nor to fragrant. It is water resistant, so great for the pool or a few hours at the beach. It is worth a try. Remember to re-apply every two hours to ensure you are protected even when it is cloudy outside. Sunscreen does not last all day after one application, which is where a lot of us go wrong.

Do you have any beauty products that include SPF that you are loving right now and/or always? If so, let me know in your comments. Please do follow by adding your email in the box to the right for quick and helpful tidbits like this one coming to you weekly or thereabout.
