Hello again and Happy Wednesday! So, I was at Bellus Academy in Poway, CA this past week for their DIY Beauty and Wellness Event and while there I was introduced to a super easy and beneficial face mask that I knew I had to try and of course share and tell you about it. In developing my artistry in makeup, I know that a great makeup application has everything to do with healthy skin. I have always had an interest in skin care and the products that work best. I am learning more and more about makeup and how it also goes hand in hand with maintaining your skin at it’s utmost. If your skin ain’t right, so much for your makeup enhancing your beautiful face but rather it will be an effort to cover it up. That goes for men just as much as women. We all want to be radiant. Right! So I am happily making it a point to mention, promote and discuss skin care and wellness in addition to beauty and makeup throughout future postings.
This mask is something you can whip up and wash off within 20 minutes, if not a little less (or longer if your prefer) and come away feeling refreshed just from the items already in your kitchen pantry and refrigerator. Who does not love that deal?! Do it yourself, easy money!

INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon of plain or plain greek yogurt (full fat)
1 teaspoon of honey
Dash ground cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients
Apply to face with a brush or with your fingers if necessary but that could get a little messy.
Leave on for 7-10 minutes (I think I went a little longer, it felt so good and if you add cucumbers! Oh my…)

HELPFUL FUN FACTS:
Probiotics help heal blemishes.
Cinnamon provides a warming effect that brings fresh oxygen rich blood to the surface to kill bacteria and detoxify he skin and also provides a warm healthy glow.
Nutmeg plumps and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Honey has antimicrobial properties.
Milk fat in yogurt helps moisturize the skin.
Lactic acid provides a gentle exfoliation that also helps retain moisture in the skin.
In conclusion, the mask did not only feel incredibly cool and refreshing in this lingering So Cal heat but it also smells incredibly yummy. I believe aromas play a big part in adding to the feeling of being in luxury during a facial, makeup application or any type of relaxation activity such as yoga or meditating and even when it comes to entertaining, you want the smells to be exhilarating. After completing the mask, my face felt soft, supple, moist and resilient. I can definitely go for this twice weekly and ensure that I get professional facials once every 2 or 3 months at the least. Skin is the mirror to your inner wellness. : ) In the near future I plan on sharing a facial scrub or two using natural ingredients, stay tuned!
Beauty is work. #BERADIANT

Live life in style! XO, Lysandra
