What do I look for in a man?
His shoes.
That’s right! They are the first specific thing I look at when I speak with a man and initially take him in, whether I am attracted physically, more mentally intrigued or just checking him out from afar. I still ask myself (based on his shoes) does he have style; does he personify purpose; does he care about his feet? Preferably all three, then he will care about me. Haha! A girl can only compare…and hope!
So anywho, this got me thinking about some of my favorite brands for men and the shoes they carry. What would I recommend to my male client? Or maybe recommend as a gift for a man. Well let’s see shall we. I am talking about just a few options here in order not to overload the senses because I am sure like me, you can probably talk shoes all day, every day…
1. Marc Jacobs – Here is an everyday clean white sneaker you can put on with a pair of jeans and crisp t-shirt. Then I have the grey port shoe which displays a desire for style and requires a little more decisiveness in pairing with the wardrobe yet light enough to take you into summer maybe pair with a white jean.

2. Topman – Nice selection of work shoes so you do not wear the same one every day. A man needs options!

3. Converse – I present your Black Chuck Taylors! (in my Wiz Khalifa voice, if I had one). This is another sneaker you can wear as an everyday shoe. Although, you can also spice it up with the high top burgundy option by John Varvatos for Converse to give that mature edge that the John Varvatos brand is known for. I so love these and almost want to buy the women’s version for moi!

Shop at MrPorter.com or Nordstrom for a nice collection of men shoes. You will want to spend money immediately!
Also, check out this post by The Hanger Bay, a man style blog. This particular post expounds on quite a few pair of shoes that I really like and I think you will too.
Live life in style! XO, Lysandra
