So I took a fashion staycation at Harrah’s Resort Southern California to check out the Fashion Week San Diego (FWSD) Spring Showcase 2015 held there on March 14, 2015. This show was an introduction to the designs and the designers behind them for the FWSD 2015 year. This was a nice SoCal getaway with a low key Vegas feel. I saw fashion, had drinks, followed by dinner in the Casino at Rita’s Cantina, followed by live music. The next morning was check out, so to savor the experiece I had my Starbuck’s coffee and breakfast sandwhich by the pool (the infamous Dive) and although I am not much of a gambler, I actually played the slots a little before leaving! Now I can say I have been to Harrah’s and done that. I look forward to going back for one of their future events or maybe go and just be.
As for FWSD, I look forward to seeing more at the main event to be held at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla this coming October 2015, more specifically, the dates are September 28, 2015 to October 4, 2015. There are also a series of events throughout the year that I may check out, get a familiar pulse on the designers and their aesthetic coming out of my city. Who say’s San Diego is not on the fashion and style map…

OOOH, those dresses! I need to go on a fashion stay-cation myself. Looks like you had an amazing time! Fashion, dinner, drinks and slots sounds like the perfect time. BTW I love your shoes!

Thanks Sue Ann! Yes it was a good experience! I even left inspired with more blog post ideas. Really reminded me that getting away from your comfort is a good thing no matter how big or small.
