What International Women’s Day Means to Me

As a 40+ year old Black woman, a single woman, a cancer survivor, a sister, a daughter, a beauty professional, and a blogger, International Women’s Day is more than just a celebration—it’s a reflection of resilience, power, and the beauty of transformation.

It’s about honoring the journey, the scars that tell stories of survival, and the strength that comes from rising after every fall. As a cancer survivor, I know what it means to fight for life, to embrace each day with gratitude, and to redefine beauty beyond the surface.

Love. Your. Life.

As a currently single woman, I embody independence and self-love, showing that fulfillment isn’t defined by societal expectations but by the way I pour into myself and others. As a sister and daughter, I carry the legacy of the women before me—their lessons, sacrifices, and dreams that fuel my own ambitions.

As a beauty professional and blogger, I use my voice and platform to empower others, to remind women that self-care is not selfish, and that our presence in every space—whether business, art, or leadership—is necessary and valuable.

#InternationalWomensDay is a time to celebrate all the ways we show up in the world, despite the odds. It’s a day to uplift each other, own our narratives, and continue breaking barriers. Because we are here, we are thriving, and we are unstoppable.

XO, 💋
