These days you don’t have to get SPF to simply protect your face and body from the Sun but also get it to do that and more. There are numerous products that double as sun protection and for the glam this Summer. A two in one!! There are also sunscreen mists for the face, hair and scalp. And for my brown-skinned and black ladies, yes you do need to wear sunscreen. Our melanated skin does provide natural sun protection of what an SPF 15 provides but that extra layer of consistent protection is a must especially in the hotter months and longer days of Summer.
“Being in the Sun is like going to parties – too much ages your skin, too little can age inside you like your bones.”

My personal fave right now is is Sunvisor by Saie, a skin tint, serum, oil and moisturizer with Vitamin C and an SPF 35. I love how it looks on my skin. It’s an easy way to get SPF on my face daily and also gives me a glorious illuminating glow. I can leave it on by itself for a simple effortless sun-kissed glow on a lazy Sunday brunch, taking walks or running errands or add concealer, powder, etc to create a more put together makeup look.
My second fave is by Saint Jane Beauty, Luxury Sun Ritual Pore Smoothing Face Sunscreen SPF 30, a non-makeup SPF that although it states a natural finish, to me, it still gives a nice glow or maybe it’s more of a dewiness without the illumination. It also moisturizes the skin and blurs the pores, so wearing it alone without makeup is less daunting for us with oilier skin and bigger pores. Because of this, it also can double as a primer underneath makeup. Good for all skin types. They also now have a new Saint Jane Beauty Body Ritual Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30, a clean beauty mineral SPF for the body, at Sephora. It provides a nice, non-makeup glow that I can’t wait to try! As I’m sure it’s as good if not better than their face version.
